Outgoing: Signs of Spring

Adam took notes in a Field Notes Signs of Spring Contra Costa edition from April 3 - April 20, 2022.

I love this edition and believe it’s a result of continuous improvement from Field Notes.. Three of their recent editions — Trailhead, Harvest, and Signs of Spring — are some of their best and have solved small problems in older editions that included excellent paper. I’m using the Signs of Spring Ghost Flower notebook next.

The intensely debossed covers seem wear and crack more quickly than with other editions. I used this as inspiration to fill up my notebook quicker than usual by pushing myself to write more.

My “personal applications” in this notebook: Wordle attempts, thoughts on “Pacific Blue,” my first grader accidentally echoing the “plot” on the new Sheila Heti novel, drawings of my kids, observations of a gratitude circle, Big Thief lyrics and peanut canister marketing language, Klosterman, haiku attempts, some types of genies, and a flirting car detailer: “It’s all about the details.”
