Notebooks, consecutively

Adam answers a question we from Jeremy on the blog last week:

Quick question, or you can read it slowly if you want a slow question: do you often use multiple Field Notes from the same edition consecutively, or just when an edition really grabs you?

When I finish a notebook I usually find a drastically different edition to use next. The exceptions are, as suggested, when an edition really grabs me. I’ve got a few examples below from the last few years.

I took notes in the Campfire and Wilco editions consecutively upon their release. In 2019, I filled up all six of the National Crop set, which was difficult as I had already used many of them since I bought my box in 2012. I was able to trade for or buy the singles I was missing from Field Notes fans, who were more willing to let one go since they knew I was writing in the notebook instead of compiling a mint collection.
