Prompts: Thanksgiving 2006, etc.

July 20, 2016

Describe how you spent Thanksgiving weekend ten years ago. Rebuild the weekend from memory and then fill in the gaps with hypotheticals based on your life in 2006. (If your nation doesn't Thanksgiving, reflect on the everyone-goes-back-home holiday weekend in your country.)

  • Look out your window. Write about what's missing. Based on your knowledge or assumptions, how has the view changed over the years?

  • What part of your life would read as "unbelievable" in fiction? Describe this in concrete terms. Make yourself believable.

Pick up your pen! When you're finished, Please forward this message to the notebook keepers in your life.

Thanks,

Adam
